Introduction
[Concrete design projects start with a need. Who needs this thing? Why? Describe the need in a compelling way that invites the learner into finding a solution.] Task
[Describe clearly and briefly what the end product will be (e.g., a beautiful, structurally solid multilevel patio), and what the actual deliverable from the learner will be. (E.g., a slide presentation describing the solution? the actual product? a scale model? a blueprint with parts list and cost sheet?] Process
- First look at examples of solutions similar to what is required in this case.
- Brainstorm possible solutions. (Provide a link to directions on brainstorming)
- Evaluate solutions based on the degree to which they can be accomplished within the constraints given. (Provide a worksheet matrix with solutions down one side, conditions to be me as columns, and a rating scale to be filled into the cells).
- Choose a solution and detail its implementation.
- Student will create a product or activity that demonstrates their understanding of the concept. Scaffold as appropriate.
Evaluation
Describe to the learners how their performance will be evaluated. Specify whether there will be a common grade for group work vs. individual grades. You may want to have separate rubrics for individual and group work.

Conclusion
Put a few sentences here that summarize what they will have accomplished or learned by completing this activity or lesson.
You might also include some rhetorical questions or additional links to encourage them to extend their thinking into other content beyond this lesson. To foster the habit of lifelong learning, give them links to additional information here that they can pursue on their own.
